Purpose of the Bucks First Republicans
Empower Bucks County Committee members and ensure they are given the power of decision-making processes in the Bucks County Republican party.
The Committee members of Bucks First Republicans (BFR) are elected to represent the Republican party membership of their election districts in affairs of the party.
In the absence of an ethical Bucks County Republican Committee (BCRC) constitution/bylaws that guarantees each duly elected Committee person by his/her constituents a voice in decision-making, the Bucks County Republican Committee (BCRC) has become a mere vehicle for County Chairpersons to raise funds, fully influence the election and appointment of government officials and not the duly elected Committee members. In the process, the Bucks County Republican Committee (BCRC) has failed to reflect and serve the constituents that they represent. By enhancing the rights of Committee persons, Bucks First Republicans (BFR) constitution and bylaws facilitate Committee members leadership and ensure ethical decision-making in the Bucks County Republican Party.
It shall be the principle of the Bucks First Republicans (BFR) that the election of party leaders and the decisions on party matters shall be by vote of the duly elected committee members elected or, in the case of vacancies, appointed by the districts committee members in which the vacancy exist to represent their respective election districts. In the case there is no Republican Committee member representation in a district, it shall be the duty of the Bucks First Republicans (BFR) Committee membership to find individuals to run for Committee seat elections.
